Albertus Wang, the founder and design principal of S4AU – Studio for Architecture and Urbanism, is Springer LLC’s partner on Chinese projects.
A practicing architect and educator in architecture and urban design, he has worked on a wide range of projects in both the United States and Asia, for which he has received multiple honorary awards from the American Institute of Architects as well as the winning entry for Foshan International Urban Design Competition in Guangdong, China.
Wang’s design work has been published in several books, magazines, and journals in the United States and abroad. He has served as the Director and Co-Director of the University of Florida’s School of Architecture East-Asia Program since 2010 and has been teaching architectural design studios at numerous institutions, including University of Pelita Harapan and the University of Florida, and lecturing and doing design reviews in numerous international universities. His design interests focus in the critical dialogue between history and modernity, and also in the East-West cross-cultural exchanges in architecture and urbanism.
